Liminal Council is a cooperative for the waters, born from the urgent need to restore balance and protect our most vital resource: water. Water is more than a utility – it is life itself, shaping ecosystems, communities, and futures. At Liminal Council, we are led by the voices of the waters, directly listening to their needs and working to honor their role as the essence of life on Earth.

We bring people, knowledge, and action together to collaborate on any issues facing our waterways and the ecosystems they serve. From polluted streams and dying ecosystems to water injustice and overexploitation, we believe collective care is the only path forward. Unfortunately, this is urgent work. 

Our work spans multiple areas: healing ecosystems through restoration projects, advocating for water justice by ensuring equitable access to clean water, and fostering new ways of thinking about humanity’s relationship with water. By engaging with local communities, scientists, activists, and policymakers, our daily strive is to create networks of care that go beyond traditional boundaries.
